Is Bush wired and also hiding a health problem?

So far, we have no definitive answer

Don't know the story? Get up to speed:

Would you be upset if Bush failed to disclose something critically important to you?

President Bush appeared to have a bulge on his back. Its been called "Bulgegate" and the "The Bush Bulge" and it has appeared in all the of the 2004 Presidential debates. The "bulge" has been called a "badly tailored shirt" which the President claims to have worn in all 3 debates.

Rather than following up on the "3 bad shirts theory", it seems the media accepts the President has a wardrobe full of them. Do we have a transmitter, defibrillator, Wireless IV device, or something else?

There are also two wires-like objects on President Bush. You can read about one wire at
PuppetString, the other below. Links are posted on the right which lead to more information regarding the "bulge". Are the "bulges" and "wires" connected in some way? Is Bush wired but also hiding a health problem?

These insights have compelled me to ask in this article: could it be a defibrillator? The President has a
genetic disposition to AF (read study) and has not submitted for a physical this year which goes against tradition. Why has the President not submitted for a physical?

Is the bulge a symbolic iceberg?

Are we sinking down and uncovering a massive blunder in disclosure? Do we have more than a wired President? Looking at the photo of Bush after the debate (below), I wondered if the bulge was actually much larger the small box between the shoulder blades shown in the other fotos from behind. The picture below seems to indicate it might. Notice the small white circle.

An example of a defibrillator morphed and transposed onto this photo reveal some startling similarities:

Why a defibrillator? Read below.

Image Hosted by

Why might it be a defibrillator?

The President has a genetic disposition to AF (read study) and has not submitted for a physical this year which goes against tradition. Why has the President not submitted for a physical?

AF stands for "atrial fibrillation". "Having a parent with atrial fibrillation (AF) strongly increased an offspring's risk of developing this heart rhythm disorder, according to a study of participants in the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute's (NHLBI) Framingham Heart Study." - National institute of health

The image above was compiled using the vest in the photograph below. I chose the photo because it was in a similar position to Bush in the photo above, therefore required the least manipulation.

I don't suggest it's the same product. I am suggesting its possible he uses a defibrillator or another medical/communication device of similar dimensions on his body.

While I am not a Photshop professional, I have about 10 years of experience using it. Any of the techniques here can be easily repeated and are the same as the ones seen in this article. (Email for simple instructions)

This is a LIFECOR wearable defibrillator:

On its website LIFECOR says:

"The LifeVest is the first wearable defibrillator. Unlike an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), the LifeVest is worn outside the body rather than implanted in the chest. "

This product is designed to avoid having surgery: an invasive implant becomes a public surgery.

Politics is politics, and Dick Cheney having a common knowledge heart problem makes the Republican offering rickety indeed if America knew there were two risky tickers on their ticket.

By wearing this device it technically becomes possible to hide a health problem and ignore the longstanding tradition of presidential candidates to have a physical. Note: possible.

Add that "technical possibility" to a missed physical + genetic disposition to AF + a product which seems to match for shape and size a bulge in the president's jacket in a high pressure/stress/heart-rate situations? We have a lot of strange coincidences!

Does evidence seem to point in this direction? You decide. If you think so, take action before the election. We don't need to be cheated by hidden wires in the debates or by a conspiracy to hide a health problem.

The American public needs better answers than "badly tailored shirts".

What was really in the jacket? We have 3 day left to find out.

To me, what remains the most surprising of all the coincidences I have come across is that Mr. Bush wore the same "badly tailored shirt" to all 3 debates.

Does Mr. Bush have a health problem? I am no doctor. I don't know. But I do know politics when I see it, and this has cover-up written all over it.

More text for this article will be posted soon. Check back.

Ah, another conspiracy theory is born. Remember how the doomsayers claimed that Ronald Reagan was too old and would surely die in office? Fortunately the American electorate didn't buy the scare tactics any more than they're going to swallow the above phantasmagoria.

But the thing that really kicked off this latest wave was an article in And then, that kicked off a big liberal blog wave of chatting, and then sort of percolated up into the New York Times, and from there, it got into the Associated Press. BROOKE GLADSTONE: And what's your answer?

CHRIS SUELLENTROP: I think it's definitely a story to write about. A line I had in a piece I wrote about this, I said, "You know, just because the umbrella man didn't shoot John F. Kennedy doesn't mean there wasn't an umbrella man and that we don't want to know, you know, who he is." I don't know if you need to write about everything people are talking about, but - I mean I think the press obviously missed the Swiftboat story for a long time -- something people were talking about -- and the press just sort of ignored it. And they missed the story in, in a lot of ways. I've never seen a, a wrinkle in somebody's clothes that came out as a rectangle. [LAUGHTER] So, you know, I think it's a real question.

"---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------BROOKE GLADSTONE: Do you think the internet is helping reporters to get to the bottom of this, or is it having the effect of discrediting the whole story from the outset?

CHRIS SUELLENTROP: I think the latter. I mean I think that the idea that there was a rectangle on the president's back became obscured by the fact that all these left-wing bloggers were saying "the president is wired," which was sort of a leap unsupported by the evidence, and so then people immediately dismissed the rectangle and said this whole thing is phony; this is coming from partisans. Now, having said that, without them -- would we be talking about it? I don't know. It's a good question.

CHRIS SUELLENTROP: Probably. I mean look, I think reporters want to set the agenda and not have the agenda set for them, and for better or for worse, if they feel like they've gotten pushed to this story and they don't think it's worthy of covering, it's the kind of thing they want to go away.

BROOKE GLADSTONE: You know, it's funny but whenever you get an uncomfortable story like this, I remember this happened to me when I was media reporter for National Public Radio, and the issue of the infamous semen-stained dress [LAUGHTER] from the Monica-gate scandal came up, NPR said to me: Cover the coverage of the dress. And really, that was the only coverage NPR did for a while. It seemed to inoculate them from the nastiness or the improbability of the story, and yet still get it on the record. Do you find that a lot of mainstream reporters are using the excuse of covering the coverage to cover the story?

CHRIS SUELLENTROP: That's right. Now it's covering the blogs or covering the buzz on the internet. So you can say well, we're not giving credence to this story -- we're just covering what people are chatting about on line. And some of the people that have sat out the story have said, look, we don't want to do that story.

Obviously the cloned George H. W. Bush ("W") is not a viable life form on its own and some sort of life sustaining vest must be installed at all times. The other Bush siblings are actual children of the original H.W. Bush.

Between blogs, talk radio and serial e-mailers, an underground campaign has run parallel to the efforts of candidates and parties. Draft fears were fanned by e-mail messages flashed through college campuses and from student to parent long before the candidates dared address it. Speculation about a bulge on Bush's back that may or may not be a transmitter for feeding him talking points in mid-debate has raged online without breaking into the mainstream discussion.

This stuff can be dangerous. "A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth is putting on its shoes," Mark Twain said -- and he didn't even have broadband access.

not buyin' it. I know, and know of, lots of people who have used and abused drugs and alcohol for years. Although their physical and emotional lives are often pretty fucked up, they are still quite sane and reasonably intelligent. If Bush is mentally ill and/or mentally deficient, it's lazy thinking to blame it on drugs and alchohol.

From the newsgroups:

if you think you would see a de-fib poking out someone back then I've got a tower in Paris to sell you. And actually the term is "pacemaker," a de-fib is used by emergency personnel, a pacemaker is implanted to help the heart maintain normal rithum. As it happens, I just went to a CPR class including the use of an automated external defibrilator (AED). One of the things they covered was how to use an AED if the patient has a pacemaker. (If you're interested, you just attach the AED as close to the normal place as possible while avoiding the pacemaker which will show as a slight bump under the skin.) The typical location for such a device is upper chest, and they are quite small, about the size of a pack of cigarettes.

I think that the defibrillator you see there could possibly fit on his back.... one of other things, like yes, also a transmitter

A back brace is the only medical equipment I know of that would fit the description you give of Bush's bulge. It also makes more sense than a pacemaker, it would be quite believable that he would have back problems from all the sitting he has to do. It would be most unusual for someone with Bush's good health to have a pacemaker.

The white house has denied the presence of a brace ot kevlar vest of any kind. The response is that it is a bad shirt. Why dont you get them to tell us the truth, that will this silly answer will stop irritating the public.

Various people sent me mail saying that it is awfully fishy that the exit polls and final results were substantially different in some places. I hope someone will follow this up and actually do a careful analysis. Does anyone know of a Website containing all the exit poll data? If we go to computerized voting without a paper trail and the machines can be set up to cheat, that is the end of our democracy. Switching 5 votes per machine is probably all it would take to throw an election and nobody would ever see it unless someone compares the computer totals and exit polls. I am still very concerned about the remark of Walden O'Dell a Republican fund raiser and CEO of Diebold, which makes voting machines saying he would deliver Ohio for President Bush. Someone (not me) should look into this carefully. The major newspapers actually recounted all the votes in Florida last time. Maybe this year's project should be looking at the exit polls. If there are descrepancies between the exit polls and the final results in touch-screen counties but not in paper-ballot counties, that would be a signal. At the very least it could be a good masters thesis for a political science student. The Open voting consortium is a group addressing the subject of verifiable voting.

At November 4, 2004 at 3:00 PM, Blogger Political Commentator said...

So what's going on here? Answer: the exit polls are accurate. Pollsters ask, "Who did you vote for?" Unfortunately, they don't ask the crucial, question, "Was your vote counted?" The voters don't know.

Also on the show: In a CounterSpin exclusive, journalist Dave Lindorff will join us with his scoop on how the New York Times killed a story about the device George Bush wore on his back during the presidential debates. The spiked story included compelling photographic and scientific evidence that would have contradicted Bush's claim that the bulge on his back was just a matter of poor tailoring.

InterFinancial Holdings, Corp. (OTC Pink Sheets: IFLH - News) announced that they have added
David Cain to their board of directors. David Cain is currently the Chairman of the advisory
board to TTI (Texas Transportation Institute). Senator Cain represented Senate District 2 for
eight years in the Texas Senate and Chaired the Senate State Affairs Subcommittee on

During his twelve years as Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Senator Cains
efforts on behalf of the people of Texas have been widely recognized. He was named to Texas
Monthly Magazines list of Ten Best Legislators, the Dallas Morning News said he was one of
the outstanding legislators of the 73rd session, and the Texas Department of Transportation
awarded him the Russell H. Perry Award in 1995 for his efforts to gain public awareness of
the need for and benefits of transportation facilities in the State of Texas.

Jeffrey C. Bruteyn, Managing Director, stated, We at InterFinancial are proud to have such a
widely recognized Senator join our board and oversee out automotive lending division. His
affiliations and connections to the automotive industry will be invaluable to our company.
Senator Cain will be instrumental in expediting our approval to use a government issued Seller

to collect the entire down payment, instead of paying a portion of it to the taxing authority.
This dramatically helps a finance companys bottom line if the buyer defaults on the loan.

is ready to take their business to the next level.

"Lord, I have a problem!"
"What's the problem, Eve?"
"Lord, I know you've created me and have provided this beautiful garden and all of these wonderful animals and that hilarious comedy snake, but I'm just not happy."
"Why is that, Eve?" came the reply from above.
"Lord, I am lonely. And I'm sick to death of apples." "Well, Eve, in that case, I have a solution. I shall create a man for you."
"What's a 'man,' Lord?"
"This man will be a flawed creature, with aggressive tendencies, an enormous ego and an inability to empathize or listen to you properly, he'll basically give you a hard time. He'll be bigger, faster, and more muscular than you. He'll be really good at fighting and kicking a ball about and hunting fleet-footed ruminants, But, he'll be pretty good in the sack."
"I can put up with that," says Eve, with an ironically raised eyebrow.
"Yeah well, he's better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick. But, there is one condition."
"What's that, Lord?"
"You'll have to let him believe that I made him first."
